Become a member
We offer all prospective members the chance to try three sessions before they decide to join and commit as a member. To join you need to fill out the online form here and also set-up a standing order for membership. Become a volunteer We are always on the lookout for more volunteers to help with the running of the club. We have a range of positions on our committee and if you are worried about time and commitment, a role can always be shared. We are indebted to our fabulous volunteers and the club wouldn't run without them. Even if you can just give up a little bit of your time, – 1 or 2 hours are month, I am sure we can find a role that suits you and your schedule. If you are interested in volunteering please email [email protected] or talk to Marion Catlin or Philip Buttinger at training. Become a coach We have a number of England Korfball/British Korfball Level 1, Level 2 coaches and also some Level 3 International Korfball Federation coaches within our club, both male and female. We are very keen to support individuals on their coaching journey whether that be through coaching opportunities, general advice/support or via financial help individuals to get qualifications/CPD. We have a number of coach and tutor assessors in the club who are very well placed to assist you no matter your experience level. If you are interested in getting into coaching either speak to one of our coaches or email [email protected]. Become a referee/shot clocker We are very committed to supporting individuals on their refereeing journey. In korfball referees are usually the only paid official. They can earn anywhere from £15 per game up to £35 per game. Not bad for an hour’s work, if that is an incentive! Norwich City KC has a number of theory, practical, regional, national level referees and one of our members has just been nominated to the International Korfball Federation Referee Talent List. This highlights how we are able to support anyone with their refereeing no matter what level or time commitment they want to work towards. In korfball you can also get paid £5-10 per game to shot-clock. This is where you help the referee keep the time or ensure the correct time is on the clock that countdowns between teams shooting. We have shot clock accreditors in our club and it is really simple to learn how to do it. If you are going to watch a game with a shot clock you may as well get paid at the same time 😊. If you are interest in finding out how to get into refereeing/shot-clocking please email [email protected]. |
