Korfball is a fun, fast mixed gender team sport - teams of 8 players made up of 4 men and 4 women, of all ages from 8-65 and beyond. The game is played on a court with a ball and two baskets on posts - indoors in the winter (league matches) and outdoors in summer (training and tournaments). It is a great way to keep fit, make friends and have fun or play at a competitive level if you want to.
We offer all new interested members the chance to come and try a few sessions to see if they like it before they join.

Club News updates
Training restarted Tuesday 10 September 2024 7pm, Junior and Senior at City of Norwich School, Eaton Road, Norwich
League games have started have started and we have fixtures up until Christmas. Most matches are being played at UEA, some at City College. We have had a good start to the season, although we need more female players to balance our membership so please bring your friends along to training.
We have to change training on the Tuesday 5th and 12th November (because of exams in the CNS sportshall) to join with Ice training at the Norwich School sportshall on Thursday 7th and 14th November. If you are a member and want to come to those two training sessions please check the NCKC Seniors WhatsApp group.
At the beginning of the season we welcomed back Sam Tattam who has rejoined the club after a few years away, and Summer and Heather who have recently joined. James Isbill joined the club but has left this year to do a Masters in Planning at Sheffield University so hopefully he will join the uni club there, and bring new skills back to Norwich eventually. Some of the younger players have also stopped playing but we have kept Jamie, Zach, Kyal and Ryan which we are very happy about and also great to see that most of our longer term players are back to play. We will have three teams in the league.
James Ellis has transferred to Knights to play alongside his children. Thanks to James for his many games for Noriwch City over the years.
We are glad to be back at korfball and looking forward to see our members old, new and prospective

Norwich City Korfball Club (NCKC) is one of the longest established clubs in Norfolk having been around since 1994. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, friendly and inclusive and club that strives to provide social and playing opportunity that suits any individual no matter their age or ability. As well as a thriving adult membership, we have a junior section which caters for those aged 8 and up and it is often the case that parents get involved too as it is a very inclusive sport.
We are one of the longest-standing clubs in the area and comprise 3 senior teams, offering a friendly korfball experience with social play and local competition. We also pride ourselves on being an inclusive and friendly club, expert at giving peple confidence in playing a team game. We have a number of male and female coaches who will help people to get settled in a new game. We also host regular socials throughout the year that cater for all members. For those interested we have opportunities for members to volunteer or referee.
